December 22nd, 2011 12:07 pm

On those special days, a card is a wonderful way to remind someone that you’re thinking of them. Whether you’re interested in learning how to create handmade birthday cards, hand-made Christmas cards, or even hand made birthday cards, this article will tell you everything you need to know to make handmade cards for every occasion. We will highlight card making techniques such as cross stitching, rubber stamping, quilling, paper folding and more. If you’re ready to get started, let’s dive in and learn how to make your own cards.

When you are learning how to make handmade cards, it’s important to have a good selection of paper and card stock to choose from. Put some thought into things such as color, texture, thickness and texture when choosing your papers. A lot of people like to use recycled paper in their card making adventures, which can be found pretty much anywhere. Others re-use the gift paper from holiday celebrations, and even the packaging that is used in various consumer products.

Card stock can come in countless shapes, colors, textures and sizes. Pre-folded card stock is really nice to work with, but plain sheets of quality A4 are not to be ignored. A single sheet of A4 card stock can be used to produce one A5 card and two C6 cards. If handmade card making becomes a serious hobby for you, you’ll definitely want to learn how to conserve your cardmaking materials as much as possible.

Glues and adhesives are another important consideration for the crafty craftmaker. Tacky glue, white glue, and the good old glue stick are trusted tools for the avid home-made card making enthusiast. Additionally, you might consider using double-sided tape, sticky foam pads and glue dots. Double-sided tape is simple to apply, and holds incredibly well. Sticky foam pads adhere very well too, and can be cut into various shapes and sizes. Glue dots are great for use when experimenting with the positioning of elements on the card during the design stage.

It’s also important to consider the finishing touches, when you are learning how to make handmade cards. A decorative box or a handmade card envelope are especially nice touches, and often become keepsakes in their own right. They can be decorated with quilled flowers, rubber stamps, and more. So next time you’re thinking about making some handmade greetings cards, consider some of the tips above.

There are a lot of places where you can find training bras and preteen lingerie for your daughter. There is always the local mall where you can find lingerie for young teens in the lingerie department of stores like Macys and J C Penney. In addition there are intimate apparel and lingerie specialty stores. And, they can also be found in some teen clothing boutiques.

Colors and Materials

Young girls take a huge interest in teen clothing, bras and panties, and anything cool and trendy. They are always drawn to cool colors with bright and funky patterns. Cotton or microfiber based lingerie for teenagers are always excellent fabric choices. These fabrics hold great appeal for young girls because they are both trendy and comfy.

Look for pretty panty and bra styles in rainbow or floral patterns. Even plain ones will do as long as they are fun colors. Bright colors are a natural choice. If, the lingerie designs, fabrics and colors are fun and sporty your daughter will be more excited to start wearing lingerie and intimate apparel.

Styles

Before puberty, girls usually wear basic cotton briefs or panties. As they mature the selection becomes greater and there are several different styles that they can now wear. When shopping for panties, two things to consider are that the panty styles are age appropriate as well as comfortable.

Take a look at the different panty styles. You could select something like a bikini style panty, which is very stylish yet still provides proper coverage. Today’s young girls also like trendy preteen underwear panties like boy shorts. These are considered trendy and hip styles.

My First Bra

If, you are not sure which bra styles are good starter bras, then take a look at cotton sports bras. Young girls like things that match so consider bra and panties that are coordinated. Preteen panties with matching tank top camisoles are also a great choice if she is not quite ready for her first bra. She may prefer a cute cotton cami with matching boy shorts or even bikini panties. Camisoles are also a good alternative for a growing girl if she isn’t quite ready for a preteen bra.

Age Matters!

She may not quite be ready to wear a first bra. Don’t push her into any preteen bras or teen lingerie styles that she isn’t comfortable with and allow her to take her time. Remember, age appropriate always matters! It would not be good at her young age to start wearing peekaboo lace bras, thongs or sexy teen lingerie.

Even though you want her to feel grown up, don’t forget that she is not an adult. The time will come soon enough when she will be the one to choose lingerie and intimate apparel on her own. For now it is your responsibility as a parent. Fortunately, there are a lot of different teen lingerie and underwear styles that are made specifically for preteen girls.
